My buddy by the name of J.V. Robertson introduced me
(via cyberspace) to Tomas Saraceno earlier this week. Mr. Saraceno is an Argentinean sculptor, painter, photographer & Master Mind behind some amazinG art work.
His showing “Lighter Than Air” was exposed this past Thursday in Houston. Still wishing I could’ve been there. On a happier note,
THE ENDLESS is a Saraceno collection that I instantly fell in <3 with after seeing it. Maybe you will too.

 THE largest outlet shopping destination in Texas and the third-largest in the world.
NEED I SAY MORE.
Oh one more thing, I used to be slightly disgruntled that down here in Texas we don't have an H&M, but I think this makes it all better :)

My how time soars past, something is causing my mind to travel there and wont let me come back, at least untill it relives there for a while. Martin. Houston Rockets championship of '95. TLC. Early morning cartoons (nickelodian =)). Just for me. Tupac. School uniforms. AAliyah. Fresh prince of bellaire. Hightop reeboks. LA Gear. Giga Pets. Da Brat. Monica Lewinski. Motorolla Pagers. Michael Jordan. Forest Gu-ump. Spicegirls. 97.9 the box. Flannel. Gold jewelery. Plaid. Destinys child (the first group. With latavia & latoya) Cornrows. Cassette tapes. Oversized clothes were not just for boys.(still arent in my book) The Fugees. Ceasars/tapper fades. FUBU =). Colors. Walkmen. Teddy Riley. Snap back hats. Locs. Herring bands. Im back now. I was very influenced by musicians during that time, not only fashion wise but also growing up the images that they portrayed impacted my decisions on what type of person/girl I wanted to be. Strong willed with an anything he can do I can do better attitude, high self esteemed having, pretty on the inside dressed as a queen on the outside, nice but not nieve minded with a girly enthusiam but not helpless personality. For me the clothing and swagger of aaliyah, tlc, monica, brandy and mya said all of this without them having to speak. As I look up at the television on this 14th day of november in 2009 the closest thing "music"tv is offering me to the previously listed classic artists is... Keri Hilson? Not in all ways but anyone else wanna hop in? Reminising on how influencial music was on me as a young girl, I pray that girls coming up now learn to decifer for themselves wether or not they want to play with a gun during a down period of the many ups and downs to come in their lives, just because they feel that it is what their favorite artist would do. I know this poem has been around for sometime and whoever the author is (debated by many to be Maya Angelou) I believe it sums up the whole "hater" phenomenon. (phenomenon referring to the word "hater" not the actual behavior which has been around before you and I were and will be long after.) All I have to say is dont cast your pearls before swine. If you do they will trample over them and then turn and rip you to pieces. (something like that) Thats why I prefer to wear cubic zirconia. Well that and college is taking all of my money so Im broke.

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb
(if he / she isn't about the right thing)
e) Raise your children without both parents being
in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be
on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?
You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job.. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine
prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your
time to leave this earth, you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my
life and fulfilled 'my' dreams,... Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at me....Look at Who is in charge of me...'

Pass this to all of your family & friends who you know are not hating on you


Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't become
a HATER!

THE KING.

Many people love Michael Jackson for the phenominal music that he created. Many love him for his astonishing dance moves that made you feel like you were watching magic as he performed. Among the many reasons to love him, I have to emphasize was his style. The ever popular sequened jacket that he was known for was also worn by celebrities like Rihanna, Beyonce & even Kanye West had to get in on the look. Michael Jackson was wearing skinny jeans and cardigans well before lil wayne & anybody else caught on to it. The sequins that I love on dresses that draw attention to the outfit and not so much as what is underneath it was made not only okay to wear, but stamped as a glamerous and noteworthy article to have in your closet by the icon himself. IM TUFF.

OOh shoulder pads. I remember playing football with my dad and siblings when I was younger. My brothers would tackle me as if I had the same genital area that they did. Crying I would try to settle the wrong that I thought had been done to me, by running to my dad so that I could receive revenge on my brothers through the scourn that only he could give so powerfully it would make any childs eyes overflow in water. Instead, he would tell me that I was tuff and then make me repeat those same words myself. I can still remember trying to stop the snot from running down my nose and gasping for air at the same time while trying to get the words out ... sniff.."I'm"..sniff sniff.."Tu"- gasp.."Tuff." AHHH THE DAYS. Didnt think I would ever voluntarily wear anything that reminded me of those hard days of sibling football, but what do you know, shoulder pads are making me do it. Shoulder pads now have come into fashion in a way that I love. They can spice up any outfit and turn a casual one into a formal outfit. Check the photos!

GO AHEAD go rainbow...all the girls are doing it.

One of the ways to dress fearlessly fashionable without feeling the need to draw attention to your curves (or lack thereof, therefore wearing 2 sizes too small in order to compensate which actually exposes the lack when wearing more could actually give the illusion that there is more there, although im not encouraging wearing layers in the summer time to create such an effect) is to simply add color to your wardrobe and stir. Bright popping colors are definitley in right now and even when the trend is gone, mixing colors together in your outfits (When done correctly. As you will see in the pictures, dont get carried away.) can really make you stand out when you walk into a room & this way you don't even have to feel self conscious or catch a cold in order to do it!
